Writing songs is just about my favourite thing to do.

I’ve written or co-written numerous songs for The Swingles. I was honoured to have my song The Thaw performed by Grammy-winning jazz vocalist Kurt Elling on The Swingles’ album Yule Songs vol. II. My song Unmade from our album Folklore won a CARA award for Best Folk/World Song. And in 2017 I co-wrote (with Rolfe Kent and Joanna Goldsmith-Eteson) A Little Change In The Weather, which The Swingles recorded for the end titles of Alexander Payne’s film Downsizing.

Zig Zag Birds is how I channel an intense love for classic sunshine pop and elaborate middle 8s, shared with my pals David Rael and Woody Lewenstein. Our album Cuckoo Heart was released in 2017.

I’m currently working on an EP of some of my favourite original songs, to be released in 2019.

My songwriting workshop Beating The Blank Page has been well-received at festivals including SoJam (USA), Zimriya (Israel), Vocalmente (Italy), Domaine Forget Vocal Jazz Camp (Canada) and the London A Cappella International Summer School (UK).
