Writing songs is just about my favourite thing to do.

I’ve written or co-written numerous songs for The Swingles, including this one, this one and this one. I’m incredibly honoured that the Grammy-winning jazz vocalist Kurt Elling sings one of my songs, The Thaw, on The Swingles’ album Yule Songs vol. II. And I recently co-wrote (with Rolfe Kent and Joanna Goldsmith-Eteson) A Little Change In The Weather, which The Swingles recorded for the end titles of Alexander Payne’s new film Downsizing.

Zig Zag Birds is how I channel an intense love for classic sunshine pop and elaborate middle 8s, shared with my pals David Rael and Woody Lewenstein. Our album Cuckoo Heart was released in 2017.

I’ve taught a songwriting workshop, Beating The Blank Page, at festivals including SoJam (USA), Zimriya (Israel), Vocalmente (Italy), Domaine Forget Vocal Jazz Camp (Canada) and the London A Cappella International Summer School (UK).
